Webador: create your website easily, even without any basic knowledge
I needed a site, but not a gas factory
There was a time when creating a website seemed out of my reach. Too technical, too long, too much jargon. I stumbled across Webador by chance, while searching for “simple free website” on Google. And it's probably one of the few tools I've managed to get to grips with. without reading a single line of documentation.
If you're in the same situation - zero experience, need to move fast, limited budget - I think you'll find my feedback useful.
I'm neither a developer nor a designer, and yet...
When I launched my project, I wanted above all to share something. A freelance activity, a personal blog, a local service. But very quickly, I came up against platforms that were too complex, that required an understanding of HTML or the management of an external host, such as PrestaShop can sometimes do it.
With Webador, I started by choosing a model, then simply dragging blocks onto the page a title, an image, a button. The rest came naturally. No plugins to install, no backups to configure. And above all, no panic when I pressed a button.
What I was able to do, in just a few hours
What really blew me away was the speed with which you can have an online site. I chose a structure, replaced the texts with my own, added my photos, a contact form, and published.
The site was already mobile-friendly, It loaded quickly, and I even had a small store ready to use. I have to admit that for a mass-market tool, I wasn't expecting such fluidity.
To whom I would recommend Webador, without hesitation
If you are self-employed, craftsman, therapist, coach, or member of an association, and you just want a clear, functional, no-fuss site, a good option.
You don't need to know SEO inside out, or deal with technical updates. It's a tool designed for those who want to get straight to the point, without sacrificing quality.
Is it really free? Yes, but...
There is a free version, with a sub-domain (votresite.webador.fr) and a few basic functions. It's perfect for testing. But very quickly, I found myself wanting to have my own domain name, and add a store.
So I opted for a paid plan (around €6/month at the time), and frankly, it was a real pleasure. well worth the investment by the credibility it gave me. Just having your own address makes all the difference.
What I like best

And it's all in French, which helps when you're not comfortable with English-language SaaS tools.
There are, however, a few limits
Webador remains a simplified builder. Don't expect a level of customization worthy of WordPress or Webflow.
For example:
- Unable to add customized HTML or CSS code
- The blog is basic, with no advanced categories or tags.
- E-commerce is perfect for some products, but no more
So if you're planning a big site with multiple languages, plugins galore or a complex structure, you may find yourself feeling cramped.
I've compared them with others, and here's what I think
- Wix more powerful, but also more complex. It's easy to get lost.
- WordPress : great if you have the skills or budget to delegate.
- Shopify Top for a serious store, but too much for a small project.
- Webador perfect for a quick start, manage alone, and evolve in peace and quiet.
And frankly, I like knowing that I don't need a developer every time I want to change a word on a page.

Do as I do: try it out for free. Create a page, add a photo, publish it. You'll see right away if the tool is right for you. I stayed with Webador much longer than I expected, simply because it enabled me to focus on my content, not on technique.
